What is GuruCountry? |
| |
GuruCountry is an online, live-advice website where you can ask experienced people questions and get real-time answers without having to wait (or hope) for someone to post a reply on a message board. You can communicate with our Gurus via a secure online chat session. Ask your Guru any question at all and get professional answers. |

How much does it cost? |
| |
Each Guru defines his or her own cost. At GuruCountry, we use GuruTokens, our very own currency, which cost $0.25 each. You can buy tokens in packages of 100 Tokens or more. Each Guru establishes a certain number of tokens per minute that they charge for their advice. Once you and the Guru agree to start a paid chat session, the funds are automatically transferred from your GuruCountry account to his, so make sure you have plenty of tokens available. |

What is a Verified Guru? |
| |
Verified Gurus are members whose qualifications have been checked by our staff members, ensuring that they actually have the experience that they claim to have. Anyone can still be a Guru without being verified, but if you see the "Verified Guru" icon in their profile or you have it in your profile, then you and others will know for certain that those Gurus are legitimately qualified to answer your questions. |

How do I start a live chat? |
| |
Once you become a member of GuruCountry, you can start a live chat right away. After you log-in, search for Gurus in the appropriate category, and if they are signed on, then the "Chat Now" icon will appear below their profile pictures. If a Guru is not signed in, then it will say "Offline" below his or her picture. When you click on the "Chat Now" button, a chat session is immediately initiated with the Guru. The sessions are free until both you and the Guru approve a paid session. |

Do I pay as soon as I start chatting? |
| |
No, both you and the Guru need to agree to start a paid session. To begin payment, simply click the “Start Paid Session” button, and your account will be charged the appropriate number of Tokens. You can end the session at any time. |

Can I end a chat session whenever I want to? |
| |
Yes, either you or your Guru can end a session at any point during the chat. Simply click the “End Session” button. |

How do I find the right Guru? |
| |
You can use our search engine or the "Categories" menu to find a Guru. To use the search engine, simply type in a keyword related your question. For example, if you are looking for advice on exercise, type "Exercise" in the search box and click "Go."
You can also use the "Categories" menu on the left side of the page to browse the Guru listings. Gurus who can answer your questions about exercise would most likely be found under the "Fitness & Health" category. |

How will other GuruCountry users know when I am ready to chat? |
| |
When you create a GuruCountry account, you can download a desktop application similar to instant messenger programs such as Yahoo messenger and MSN messenger. This tool is your key to using GuruCountry. As long as you are signed in with the chat application, other GuruCountry users can see that you are online and will be able to initiate a chat session with you. |

How can other GuruCountry users find me? |
| |
Other users can find you via our category listing or by using our search engine, which searches through the data in your profile. You can also subscribe to become a featured Guru and we will place you in the top range of searches in the category you are skilled in. |

Is instant messaging the only way to communicate with Gurus? |
| |
There are many ways to talk to a Guru. Not only can you chat via instant messaging, but you can also communicate via audio and video. If you opt to use audio or video chat, then there is an extra charge: 3 Tokens per minute for voice and 5 Tokens per minute for video.

As a Guru, how can I exchange my GuruTokens for actual money? |
| |
In order to receive monetary payment for your GuruTokens, a Guru must make a request to GuruCountry. Payment can only be requested if your account is equal to or greater than two hundred (200) tokens. Once a request is made, GuruCountry will send a check to the address listed in your account. Payments are made at the end of each month. |

After I request payment for my GuruTokens, when will I receive a check? |
| |
Gurus are paid at the end of each month, provided a payment request has been made. Payment requests can be made by simply submitting one in your "My Account" page under "Request Funds." |

Why can’t I submit a payment request? |
| |
You must have two hundred (200) or more GuruTokens in order to request payment. If you have more than 200 GuruTokens and are still unable to submit a payment request, please email support@gurucountry.com |

Who determines my pay rate? |
| |
You do. All Gurus determine what their pay rate per minute will be. |
| |
|
What is ranking and rating? |
| |
GuruCountry users can rank and rate each Guru based on the quality of the advice they receive. An average score is displayed in the Guru profile. The rating is on a scale of 1 (Poor) to 10 (Excellent). |

How can I rank a Guru? |
| |
You can only rank a Guru at the end of a completed chat session. Once a session is over, you will be given the opportunity to rank your Guru’s expertise on a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent). Choose the level you wish to rank the advice you received and click submit. |

How do I change my password? |
| |
To change your password, simply sign in to your account, click "Change Password, enter your old password then your new password, and save the changes. |

How do I change my address? |
| |
To change your address, simply sign in to your account, click on "My Profile," type in your new address, and save the changes. |

How do I change my session rate? |
| |
To change your session rate, sign in to your account, click on "My Business Profile," type in your new rate, and save the changes. |

How do I close my GuruCountry account? |
| |
Email support@gurucountry.com if you would like to have your account closed permanently. |

How do I appear online? |
| |
There are two ways to appear online:
1) Web Based Login - After you login to your GuruCountry account, click on the "Start Your Live Chat Session" link in your Guru account page. This will open a new window, so make sure pop-ups are enabled on your browser. Once this window is open, it will say "Chat Now" beneath your profile picture
2) GuruChat Application - This application will allow you to chat with customers without having to login to the website. It works just like Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger. To download, click here. |
